Post by SimRacer92 »

Hey!
Any plans for FanaLEDs support for F1 2013? :)

Cheers,
Maurice

I imagine it's only a matter of detecting the new .exe file. Is this game already out?

We'll have a look at it after the weekend. I'll try to get a copy of the game and try it out.

Just tried the game. If I changed the xml files and renamed the .exe to the 2011 version it seems to work.

edit: I just realised something. Adding a certain line to your hardware_settings_config.xml file will also disable the native support: <led_display nativeSupport="false" fanatecNativeSupport="false" />

I believe there are some problems with interference in the F1 games, so this might just solve all of those problems!

edit2: Online on the readme as of now: http://fanaleds.com/readme

I hope this will become helpful for some people.

Just tried the extra commands and instructions from the FanaLEDs readme but when I rename my F1_2013.exe to F1_2011.exe I get an error message from Steam that a file was not found to start the game.
When I only add the commands to deactivate the native support from Fanatec FanaLEDs is not working and the shift lights/lcd display is not working at all ..

That can be right. Renaming the .exe is the most important thing because Fanaleds does not recognize you're playing that game yet. We'll have to add the new .exe in our next release.

We've recently started a huge overhaul of the Fanatec support, so I'm afraid it won't be any time soon. We'll have a look if we can push out a smaller release first. ;)
