I have a question for anyone who owns F1 2012.

Would you be so kind to share your hardware_settings.xml file with us? We are keen to know whether it is possible to disable the native Codemasters support for Fanatec hardware as our plugin brings more options for most users.

Thank you.

Excellent,

We think:

Code: Select all

<led_display nativeSupport="true" />
could be set to:

Code: Select all

<led_display nativeSupport="false" />
This would allow our plugin to do all of its work.

Note however Codemasters games don't have Revled support (in our plugin) just jet, we are working on setting up individual car settings including RPM values to set the revleds and shiftlights for instance. When that's finished our support will be more extensive than native support I presume!

tested this but unfortunately no, changing that command line does not affect the LCD screen and shift lights of the Codemasters programming so it is still not possible to use your better FanaLED version..
But the plans for F1 2012 sounds GREAT!

Well that sucks then. We contacted the developers and they might consider to create a toggle for native support, but that's speculating, and would indeed need another patch.
