2.3 rFactor2 fuel changes to gear readout

Post by Flatspotter »

I can't get the 3-digit LED to read fuel all the time. It reads fuel when I start in the pits, but as soon as I put the car in gear, it changes to gear readout. If I leave it in the same gear long enough, it switches back to fuel, but as soon as I shift it changes back to gear.

This used to work fine; I could get it to read fuel all the time. I don't know why it stopped. I tried deleting the global.xml file, but that didn't help.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Is it possible you have the native rFactor Fanatec output enabled?

In rFactor2, when I use Fuel#, it should display the fuel in liters, right? If I put 10 gallons in the tank it reads about 40, which sounds right, but if I put any other amount in, the number is way too high or way too low. There doesn't seem to be any pattern that I can tell.

Any idea what's wrong?

Not 100% sure, but perhaps it's a percentage? I know that's the case for some games.

That appears to be it. If I change from fuel # to fuel %, it reads correctly. Thanks.
