Simraceway LEDs/Display stopped working [In progress]

Post by adaptable1 »

First of all, thank you for your hard work. Fanaleds adds a lot of functionality that is not available anywhere else!

I was playing Simraceway 2 weeks ago with Fanaleds working just fine (installed as directed, in the plug-in directory), then suddenly this week, I stopped getting any display or RPM indicators within the game. I have a Clubsport wheel... and the displays work in rFactor (1 & 2).

I posted this question on the Simraceway forums as well:

Did you change anything over this week?

From what I've read on the link, it's worth trying to run Fanaleds as administrator.

Let me know how it works out.

You're saying you updated simraceway no?

I guess they changed something that something now fails in our plugin. The current plugin is a copy of the rFactor plugin, nothing different.

I have not changed anything... It was working just a 2 weeks ago on the same configuration, but Simraceway automatically updates every few days.

I tried running Fanaleds as administrator and still get no display.

I'm running Windows 8, which does cause some minor issues launching events within the Simraceway UI, but once I'm racing, it runs very stable.

Someone else on the Simraceway forum is also having this issue.

Don't know if this is reliable, but there is someone saying it should be working again with new updates (next release).

also, what i understand from the poster "pilotapazzo" none of the plugins work.

I saw that too. There was a new "update" today, but the plug-in still does not work. I believe this is more of a Simraceway issue with plug-ins in general.

Apparently Simraceway is only letting "approved" plug-ins work with their system. Any chance of you working with them to make this happen? LEDs work with the Logitech G27 wheel and the SRW-S1 wheel, but they don't require a plug-in.

I've got in contact. What a silly decision from them. I hope they answer, else there's nothing we can do...
