Fanaleds pressing buttons on Fanatec CSW F1 Rim

Post by MJ_Speed »

Hi

I've been getting an issue the last month where the buttons on my F1 rim is suddenly pressed while I'm driving. This causes all kinds off issues like speed limiter activating, suddenly the look left is activated for a split second, the brake balance is changed and so on. First I thought it was a HW issue and made a video about it that I sent to Fanatec but in the mean time I have disabled and re-enabled Fanaleds many times and a only have the issue when Fanaleds is running.

Any info on this?

Which firmware and drivers are you on?

Have you had this problem before, or after a new version of Fanaleds?

My wheel is 032 and 017.

Fanaleds is running v 1.3b.
Not sure if this was updated just before the issue started, my fanatec hasn't been updated recently.

What drivers are you running?

Could you try running Fanaleds 1.5a?

Sorry, been away for a week.
Just had a race at Spa ruined because I forgot to kill the fanaled process before I joined iRacing.

It's still pressing buttons like mad, causing all kinds of havoc!

Strange one, I have been running the 152 driver and firmware 037 and had not a problem with FanaLeds, although I do not have iRacing, I had tested this in 6 different race Sims with the F1 Rim and all is OK ;) Could this be a Rim problem? have you another rim to test? :) Have you heard back from Fanatec?

It's not a rim problem. I thought so at first but everything is fine as soon as I shut down fanaleds....

This is still a mystery to us. Might sound weird, but does something weird still happen when you take off your rim? I'm just interested if that's the case. Most likely it won't do anything.

Btw, do you have an other rim to test with?

Is there any other hardware connected that might interfere with Fanaleds? If you can, try to disconnect everything but your wheel.
